,,,,,,,,Just Go!!!!!!!!

It’s been 6 months since our last blog, and we are off on our travels again.

Having survived an English winter (why do we always seem to be in the UK at winter), and experienced:

-         an addition of 2 more grandsons - (its called wonderful)

-         the purchase of a new home in St Neots, Cambridgeshire (contracts exchanged the day we left) - (its called timing?)

-         the death a week before we left of our 14 year old car - (its called timing?)

-         diet failure as we have both put on weight - (its called indulgence)

we have arrived at Kiwoko Hospital, Uganda, in a small village about 2 hours drive north of Kampala.

So far we have spent just 2 nights here so most of our time has been spent unpacking and sleeping!!!!! The latter is very easy for Malcolm as the heat is very soporific and he never has a problem dozing off. He had better pull himself together in time to start work next week.

We have been made very welcome, being invited out to meals with other workers here for our first week. It has been a chance to meet our ‘old’ but young friend, Dr Corrie, who we met at Mvumi Hospital Tanzania 5 years ago.

Not much else to add at the moment. We will try and update this blog every week to give an idea of life working at the Hopital.

This week’s proverb from the BBC Africa web-site is from Kampala, Uganda “If you are slow but resolute, you accomplish much”

The following is a link to a CMS video about some of  the work of Mission Partner, (but not Kiwoko)

PS Those of you at Emmanuel Church last Sunday when Irene asked for a 'challenging' journey, Malcolm is pleased to announce, Prayer not answered!!!
